LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The New Mexico State men's and women's tennis teams have received its seeds for the 2008 WAC Men's and Women's Tennis Championships that the Aggies are hosting at the NMSU Tennis Center, Apr. 24-27. The women's teams kick off the tournament on Thursday the 24th and the men begin play on Friday the 25th.
The men's team received the No. 3 seed, its highest ever seed in the conference tournament since joining the WAC in June 2005, as they finished the regular season with a 12-6 record. The men will face No. 6 seed Nevada on Friday, Apr. 25 in the quarterfinals at 9:00 a.m. and NMSU will have the opportunity to avenge its 4-2 loss to Wolf Pack from last year's opening round at the conference championships.
With an 11-9 overall record the women's team received the No. 4 seed and they will face Hawai'i on Thursday, Apr. 24 at 9:00 a.m.
