The New Mexico State women's basketball team fell 65-46 on Wednesday night in the Pan Am. The Aggies trailed the Wolf Pack by just three at halftime and scored their first five points of the second half to take a 32-30 lead but the Wolf Pack would got on a 14-2 run over the next seven minutes to take a 44-34 lead. The Aggies would struggle to hit shots in the second half and would fall behind by as many as 19 points.
After a slow start to the game, the two teams would find their offenses as the score would be tied 10-10 with 13:09 left in the first half. The Wolf Pack would go on an 8-2 run to take an 18-12 lead but the Aggies would get a basket from Madison Spence and 5-0 run from Jasmine Lowe on a three pointer and a steal and fastbreak layup to take a 19-18 lead with 7:43 left in the half. The teams would once again find themselves tied after a pair of free throws from Jasmine Lowe made the score 25-25 bu the Wolf Pack would go on a 5-0 run to take a 30-25 lead. Danisha Corbett would get a layup to cut the lead to 30-27 but would miss a layup with 38 seconds left in the half that would have cut the lead to one as the Aggies went into the break trailing 30-27.
Jasmine would score the first five points of the second half to give the Aggies a 32-30 lead. The Wolf Pack would on an 8-0 run to take a 38-32 lead and after a Jasmine Lowe layup cut the deficit to 38-34, the Aggies appeared to stop the Wolf Pack but Madison Spence's foot would land on the baseline as she grabbed a rebound giving the ball back to the Pack. Nevada would capitalize getting a three pointer from Tahnee Robinson to make the score 41-34.
