LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The American Baseball Coaches of America (ABCA) released the All-Midwest teams, Tuesday, June 18 with designated hitter Parker Hipp earning first team honors and third baseman Bobby Lecount earning second team honors.
Hipp finished the season hitting .300 while posting a .479 slugging percentage, a .429 on-base percentage and 50 RBI. He also tallied nine home runs, which was second on the team behind Lecount, and 40 walks. Hipp was a two-time all-WAC selection for the Aggies, earning the honor as a sophomore and junior.
Lecount led the Aggies at third base making great defensive plays posting 140 putouts and 73 assists. He finished second on the team with a .326 batting average while he led in home runs (15), slugging percentage (.647) and RBI (69).
Lecount and Hipp combined for over 120 RBI and for more than 100 hits as they led the Aggies to a 29-28 season. Continue Reading This Post >>
