LAS CRUCES, N.M. - New Mexico State equestrian rider junior Chelsae Keyes was named an All-American selection Wednesday afternoon, by the Varsity Equestrian Selection Committee. Keyes earned her first all-America honor in Equitation on the Flat.
Keyes, a native of Sandwich, Mass., was 8-2 overall in Equitation on the Flat during the regular season, earning a team-high three MVP awards against Kansas State, South Carolina and West Texas A&M.
The 2011 All-American awards will be presented at the opening ceremony at this year’s Varsity Equestrian National Championships, hosted by Baylor University at the Extraco Events Center in Waco, Texas. Opening ceremonies will be held on Wednesday, April 13th at 6pm CT at the Extraco Events Center. A welcome banquet will follow.
