Former Aggies Ben Harty and Nate Shaver are in Wichita, KS for the National Baseball Congress World Series and are making their presence felt. Both Shaver and Harty are playing for the Haysville (KS) Heat as the team makes it's run through the NBC bracket.

Harty, who missed a significant portion of the Aggies' season with a wrist injury, is currently batting .400 with 10 hits in 27 at-bats, four of those 10 hits were home runs and four more were doubles, seven RBIs and six runs scored in the team's seven games spanning from the NBCWS Regionals and two World Series games. In the two World Series games he is batting a red-hot .714 with five hits in seven at-bats with three doubles, one home run and two RBIs while drawing two walks.

Shaver, the steady right field anchor for the Aggies the past two seasons has been just as solid and is batting .370 with 10 hits in 27 at-bats with two doubles, 10 runs scored, two RBIs and has drawn five walks during the Heat's Regional and World Series run.

The Heat (7-0) will continue play on Friday when they take on the Valley Center (KS) Diamond Dawgs.
