Calling All Aggies :: We Are All Crimson

Some of you may have seen the tagline at the bottom of the last blog. This is the new branding initiative that we are working on here at NM State athletics. We ran through the Every Day is Game Day campaign without hitting the mark as well as I would have liked to see. Not a failure, but certainly less than optimal.

The We Are All Crimson campaign will be focused on using Aggie athletics as a unifying point for the entire Las Cruces region. We have an amazingly diverse population not only amongst different races, but also in terms of the age brackets. Whether you are old, Hispanic, female, or any other way you distinguish yourself, being Crimson and an Aggie fan unites us all.

This branding campaign will focused on showing different people, from all walks of life, being an Aggie fan. Visually, we will show different age brackets, genders and races all being united as Aggie fans. You may even see a photo of three people wearing Mayfield, Las Cruces and Onate gear being united as Aggie fans.

The goal of this campaign is obviously to enhance the brand in the Las Cruces market, but it also is geared towards positioning NM State athletics as the one team for the community. Whatever our differences are, we can agree to be fans of the Aggies.

We ARE all crimson and the campaign will be rolling out soon. It will be tagged in all marketing materials throughout the year and the campaign will run concurrently with our ticket campaigns.

Sneak Peek
The football poster is done and you will see a departure from the norm. Coach Walker is an amazing guy and I am proud to promote him and the football team. He does not want the marketing of the football program to be about him, but rather about the program. I know that people in this great community are excited about his work here and probably want to see him highlighted more. But, we will hold the line and make this about the team. The poster is below for your own sneak peek. I have been asked almost as much about the new crimson helmets as I have had about Coach Walker. The helmet will play a prominent role throughout the year. We expect to have the posters printed circulating in the community by the end of May.
