Losing hurts. Losing a game you think you should win hurts even more. As we are trying to build a successful athletic department, the on-field success is a great barometer. But, in sports, things happen and then you move in preparation for the next event. In football, it is the next game, or the next season.
Be frustrated; be upset; but, be a fan. That means you get ready for the next game. It also means that you look to the next game as an opportunity. What greater stage than to have an opportunity to do something great against the highest-ranked opponent to ever play at Aggie Memorial Stadium in front of a homecoming crowd?
Here are 10 reasons to go to the game on Saturday:
1. It's homecoming
2. Boise State is the highest ranked team to EVER play in Aggie Memorial Stadium
3. Western Refining Family Fun Pack: 4 reserved tickets, 4 hot dogs and 4 cokes for just $34. It would cost you over $70 to buy the package as individual pieces.
4. 3,500 free cowbells. That's right, the first 3,500 Aggie fans through the gates get a free cowbell, courtesy of Memorial Medical Center.
5. The defense is playing great. Last year, we had one of the worst defenses in the country. This year, the defense is really playing well. They HIT people!
6. Amazing opportunity for the team to do something great!
7. 5PM start time means more time to enjoy a party, family or sleep after the game
8. Tailgating: The perfect excuse to have a party.
9. Crimson: wear your Crimson to the game and remind yourself that you are an Aggie through the good times and the bad.
10. It's college football, and it is a Saturday in the Fall. Where else do you want to be?
That's my 10.... can you add to it?
