We apologize for the late post today. One of the nice things about an early kickoff is that you have the rest of the weekend to go do stuff and we took the opportunity to go visit out in-laws. We'll have more thoughts on yesterday's game tomorrow but it was great to see the Aggies take care of business against a lower level team. The Aggies did not allow Alcorn State to hang around, quickly erasing thoughts the Braves had of coming in and pulling off the upset.
In case you missed it, the Hawai'i Warriors upset #22 Fresno State in Fresno. The Warriors have been absolutely dreadful this season on offense but their victory over the Bulldogs gives increased hope that the Aggies can go in there and pull out a victory this season.
We're also impressed with the Aggie volleyball team's road trip. Two matches, two sweeps. It ensures that one week from today when the Aggies take on Hawai'i on the islands, it will likely determine the outcome of the WAC regular season standings. A victory by the Aggies could give them at least a share of the regular season title, while a loss would undoubtedly give the Wahine the regular season crown (barring a serious and unprecedented regular season collapse by them) for the 13th straight year.
Finally, this is your daily reminder to go vote for Chase Holbrook in the Davey O'Brien Award fan voting. Chase is still in third place but has closed the gap to just over 50 votes (down from the over 100 votes that he was trailing by yesterday). Keep up the good work and remember that you can vote once per day, every day.
