The Daily Aggie :: 08/20/08

The Aggie volleyball team will begin the 2008 season ranked 23rd in the country. The Aggies will face the 2nd, 3rd and 12th ranked teams early in the season. NMSU will face #3 Texas in the season's second weekend, #2 Stanford the following weekend and #12 Hawai'i twice during conference play. Additionally the Aggies face the #32 ranked team Santa Clara, the #34 ranked team Utah and the #35 ranked team Illinois in the first two weekends of play. There is no doubt that this team will be battle tested when conference play rolls around and the Aggies should win their fair share of these tough non-conference matches which will springboard them into the conference season and a run at the WAC title.
