The Aggie men's golf team fired a 3-under par team total and are now 7-under par at the NCAA East Regional qualifying tournament. The Aggies head into the final day in a tie for 6th place. The Aggies were anchored by Travis Reid who shot a 4-under 67 and is in a tie for 16th place. Senior Matt Edwards fired a 3-under 68 for the Aggies. Kevin Lozares recorded his second straight under par round with a 1-under 70. The final day of competition will see the Aggies try to advance to the NCAA championship tournament and you can follow the action via Live Scoring through the GolfStat website.
The Aggie baseball team split Friday's twin bill with Louisiana Tech falling 5-4 in game one and winning 14-11 in game two. The Aggies' spit combined with wins by San Jose State over Fresno State and Sacramento State over Nevada puts the Aggies a game and a half behind the Spartans for 4th place and tied in the win column with Sacramento State. The Aggies resume the series today at 6:05 p.m. and the game can be seen on AggieVision (New Mexico only), streaming video is also available via Aggie Access (subscription required). The women's track and field team is in 7th place heading into the final day of the '08 Outdoor track and field championships. Randi Grimes had a regional qualifying mark in the javelin at 154' 4".
